Can I hunt down previous owner by VIN #?

Hey I found a nice accord in the junkyard, it was obviously owened by somone who cared, it had a full SEi leather and a tail conversion... I noticed it still has a 5-speed and I wanted to get in contact with the previous owner to inquire about the condition...

Get the VIN and run a carfax, it should tell you where it was titled last, and might even give you a name. If you have a VIN or something I think the DMV might even be able to help you for a fee.

In ontario you can/must buy your car's info package wich has every owner listed on it from the MTO. My 3g was a company car twice before i bought it. it sat and sat and rotted out (damn canada) and only had 180,000km on it.
