 I was just laughing when they gave me that trophy, mainly because every car I lined up with, the owner kinda had a look on his face like "yah right"...

Now they can all bow down to all the 3geez out there!!! GOD BLESS 3GEEZ!!

bitesize you really need to get some smaller wheels on your ride when you go to the drags. It'll help your traction and launch a helluva lot better. Even if you strap some steelies with low tire pressure on i'm sure you'll see a big difference.

Looking at your 2.4's.... i think you can pull off some 2.1's if you change your wheel.tire combo and lower pressure to run a 16.5...

You know guys, I was thinking the same thing, but I don't have stock wheels :( ALSO: what tire pressure should I run with stock tires and wheels?

NXRacer
05-03-2004, 04:04 PM
a lot of guys i know run like 12lbs on stock tires, but since you're not pushing TONS of HP, i'd say 15-20 would be fine. Unless you're still having a lot of problems with wheel spin.

Bracket racing is all about who's the best driver (which I think is the best way to race and most fair) Great job man!

I wish there were tracks closer to me where I could kick some ass.

When ever you come down here we will have to race. The day I got my car back on the road with the FI. i took it to the drags and ran a 16.95 @ 81mph. that was after I gave my buddy Justin (Red97LXcort) a two car length head start off the light and then walked him down the track. :flipa:

That was my 3rd time going, i'm going back the 21st since I'm still ahead in bracket points...maybe i'll bring home a 2nd trophy.

Justin86
05-11-2004, 04:59 PM
yea I need to do some drag racing when I get my new head on. I ran a few times before with the steelies at 24PSI and I was putting down 2.3's with lots of spin. I'm pretty sure I would get better times with my 17's. Bur 16's are not to bad just wait until you get into the 14's and you start pissing off the local V8's. :D

BITESIZE

I'm trying to get ahold of some stock wheels for the 21st.....then I'll be running mid 16's.

Justin86
05-11-2004, 08:09 PM
might want to get ahold of the stock 14's and slap some fat tires on them. I use the steelies once and I was really disapointed with them, I got better grip and launches with my 17's at low PSI. Some 14's with maybe 205 tread and 20PSI should work pretty good. I have some Se-i wheels but I don't think you would want to pay shipping.

BITESIZE
05-12-2004, 10:46 AM
With my 17's what should I run for P.S.I. justin at the track?

Justin86
05-12-2004, 07:09 PM
need to experiment with it. I never have had a chance to see what PSI works better with the 17's. So start at 26 PSI and slowly go down until you find what works best. Whats nice with the 17's is they have wider tread then the steelies and they are stiffer so you have more stability while accelerating.
Just look what happens when you blow a tire. If you blow a low pro tire at 80mph it won't really phase you. If you blow a tire with a big soft side wall at 80mph it will put you in the ditch allmost.
