89 accord LXi efi. My autotrans will not shift past reverse, the cable is stuck. I unbolted the cover / bracket and can see that the cable is square where it goes into the tubing back towards the shifter. I assume it has twisted somehow and is no longer lining up properly. The corners are rounded over which allows the cable to move enough to engage reverse. I can not figure out how to disconnect the cable from inside the transmission. Also can anyone suggest where to find a replacement?
Thanks!!
Boe

you have to remove the trans to get to the pin holding the cable... did you remove the cable from inside the car yet?

Maybe you can get to it by removing just the dust cover... i haven't been under the car for a while.

When I took apart my auto tranny, it was hooked on the inside i believe.

That is a different cable... it's the kickdown/throttle value cable instead of the shifter cable.
