My marker lights work fine and the lights pop up ok, but the lights themselves come on when the turn knob is in the middle of the marker lights and the position there meant to come on, and I can't leave it in this position because when I put the Indicators on or I hit a bump they turn off.
I know if I put a switch of my own and by-pass this switch it will cure the problem, my question is does anybody know the colour of the wires prior to the lighting switch and prior to the dimmer switch as my diagram doesn't tell me.

Thanks in advance

Go to your dashboard fuse box @ the top there is a trio of pins. Get a flashlight. You'll see they're labeled 1,2,3 If you apply 12v (low current! :) ) to pin #3 your parking lights will come on. So you can use a small switch no prob.

{edit} use a female terminal, the same ones you use to connect your door speakers; it makes it removable if u decide to fix the switch panel [edit]
