Umm... no way jose! lol... you do not want a 1.5L non vtec civic engine in your car.

that this is a D15 from what appears to be an 88-91 civic dx. That car is dual fuel injected and its just really an "advanced" carb. I believe about 90hp at the crank. Honestly that thing sucks ass. Friend with EF Hatch DX had this and it was useless compared to the D16 in EF Hatch Si my other friend owned. The most notable difference between this and the D16 was the intake manifold and it had PGMFI like the LXi or SEi. The first mod was remove resonator and this D15 sounded like a carb while the D16 sounded like it had an Intake.

You are definitely better off with your stock engine. If you want to save gas, go use the civic.

 i'd never thought to swap that engine. now, i did think about a D16 vtec from the del sol Si, then again, thats a hell no also! if its a 1.6, it better be a B16. a 1.5 engine should never be thought of because its a waste considering all the things in doing a swap. personally, i think a B18 is where to start. if you look at an engines specs on hp, thats where you can get ideas from. unless its got over 130hp, i think its a waste, especially if its got little aftermarket support. considering the most powerful A20 had about 120hp. lol, the carbed A20 had more power than that 1.5! hehe.
