no sir in three years ive never seen the level drop its been bled a few times. what about the type of fluid our cars require like dot 2 or somthing right what if its dot 3 would that make them suck i dont know what type is in there but its just a thought i had.

Our cars use DOT 3 Brake Fluid.

Are you brakes blead properly? How long has it been since you have flushed your brake fluid?

It sounds to me like you may have a leak at the brake booster. If you have a manual and a vacuum pump you can check it out yourself; if not, you may want to take it to a mechanic.

there is a little dusty old looking fluid around the brake booster but i never see any moist fluid.lxi why did you ask about the tranny?

i just went and looked at the booster i dont see any moist fluid my friend was saying that if the master cylinder is leaking fluid back that could be a problem like the o rings are bad in the cylinder so its not creating enough pressure.he also said that the brake booster should not cause it to be spongy it may make the pedal hard to push but not spongy.

if ther was a leak at all i should be able to hold the pedal down with the car off and it would slowly drop down thats not the case it pumps up solid.

i thought when the booster was bad that it WAS spongy?

what happens it your going about 30-45 mph and you have to stop dramatically. do they lock up, or does like one or two tires lock up? what all happens?

ive got one wheel off now can i start the car and have some body hit the brakes with the caliper off to check for free movement from the pins?

no they dont lock up it slows down way to slow ive driven other accords and its like if im doin 30 and brake hard it stops in like ten feet my car i get like twenty feet. it brakes evenly though it dosent pull to one side or anything.
