Yup, I bought a new car...

It's a 94 Civic CX Hatch

I got it for really cheap $1600 USD

The car is in real good shape. All it needs is a new corner light and a new windshield.

I'll need to realign the bumper too.

A B18B1 might come in that car.... depends of a few things... so far the only mod is an upper front strut bar.

Enjoy a stock civic! :p

Why are you always making stupid posts like this over and over... use SEARCH... there are many threads about this kind of thing... And here is a novel idea, open up a phone book, and look for a tuning shop in ur area, they will surely have an engine supplier, or know of someone who can get JDM engines.

Please mind my flaming, but ur posts are really annoying, stop the whoring.

Nice find...what's the difference between the CX and the DX anyways?

CX = 8 valves non-vtec (great fuel economy no power)

DX = 16 valves non-vtec (still great fuel economy, still no power)

:)

I usta have a 4dr DX and I loved that car man, They are great and are very light weight. Have fun with it! They are great cars to work on and have alot of room under the hood. Now go and fill it up with a bigger motor!

Actually, the CX has a 16 valve engine in Canada. :) 102 hp hehe

In canada, the only difference between the DX and the CX is:

The cx has no hubcaps, no rear whipper, no adjustable steering, no clock and no luggage cover.

They share the same engine.

like i said, its the lightest model of the EG series. :) Hope you have a blast with it!

does yours come with power anything? Most CX i see around have nothing. No A/C, PS, PW, and the rest of the stuff you mentioned but I know it was option from the dealer to have certain thinigs installed.

Damn thats a good deal.
Now your mission is to remove and destroy that 8 valve D engine and swap in a real engine :smokin:

Like I said, it's a 16 valve non vtec hehe (I'll get some pics).

It has no power options at all. It has a manual tranny too. I might keep it stock since it will be my daily driver.... but one of my friends plans to swap a H22A in his 97 Integra.... The teg engine might go in that hatchie :)

whats with everybody buying hatchbacks lately? i hope to god you're keeping that for your beater daily driver and only fix the 3g.

oh yeah, if anybody is looking for a NICE hatch in the salem/portland area, my buddy is selling his sweet hatch. LSVTEC, custom paint and lots of other mods.

Yeah, this car will replace my actual worn out beater :)

The Accord is still my car of choice for the mods :)

Looks to be in great shape! I personally have never liked the look of the civic hatch but the performance potential is definitely something to get excited over... Weighing 2108 lbs and pushing 102hp makes it about as fast as most 3g's and that is with the stock engine... Great buy man!

Can't wait to see that teg engine in there... was your friends car a RS/LS/GS?

142hp@6300rpm 127tq@5200rpm for the 94-00 Integra is a nice engine to slip into that light civic chasis. If you could pull out 150hp out of that engine you would be in good shape. Personally I would look for either a h23/h23a1 or a F22.
You get a lot of torque and more hp of of those engines...

H23-2.3 16V DOHC 160hp@5800rpm 156tq@4500rpm 93-95 Prelude Type-S

H23A1-2.3 16V DOHC VTEC 160hp@5800rpm 156tq@4500rpm 92-96 Prelude Si

F22-2.2 16V DOHC 160hp@6000rpm 148tq@5000rpm 92-96 Prelude Si
