The other daY I was playing around with my 1 wire 02 senser. I hooked up a digital voltmeter to it and it did register various readings as it warmed up. If your carbed 3-g has failed a emmisions test understanding what these reading are may help,I'm just not knowageable on how it works. Just thinking out loud.

also you can set the value of the voltage #'s, to a/f mixture levels and have yourself an accurate reading of how much fuel you are getting.

i found the way to make Air/fuel ration gauge.
it will cost me like $14.

it is very simple.
i found this two websites with schematics.
here are the websites:
http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/mult_air_fuel_monitor/mult_air_fuel_monitor.htm
http://www.myzero.com/gauges/afgauge.html
here is what i found out.
if you just go and buy this gauge(air/fuel ratio gauge) and plug it in. you will read that at full throttle you are running lean. it is a bull shit. most of the gauges like that are designed to work for daily driving.
there is a website that sells the gauges that have been moded to work with open throttle body.
http://www.gadgetseller.com/gauges/index.htm
the problem with them is that they want your arm and a leg for it.
The way gauge work is that it reads how much volts comming out from O2 sensor. in our cars it is between 0v and 1v.
the higher the number the reacher you are running.
And yes you can use voltmeter to test it.
positive from voltmeter on O2 sensor wire and negative to the ground. let the sensor warm up for about 10-20 minutes and after that go for it(floor it).
i hope you guys understand.
i am gonna try to make the permanent one. if it works i will start making them and selling them. i won't charge much. with parts and labor i am thinking like $25-30. what do you think guys.

the o2 sensor puts out a voltage irregardless of throttle position, if you hook it up to an ecu that's a different story but just splice into the sensor and you'll get your readings

If you could make a working A/F meter for $30 I would be sooo in. I'd rather not pay ~$130 for an A/F meter... unless someone knows where I can get one for less?
