with a 185/75 youre speedo will be off 7.4% when it reads 60 you will actually be going 64.4 mph

with a 195/75 youre speedo will be off 9.9% when it reads 60 you will actually be going 66.0 mph

with a 205/75 youre speedo will be off 12.5% when it reads 60 you will actually be going 67.5 mph

I can't garuntee if they will or will not rub. If your var is stock height you shouldn't have a problem with the 185/75. The 205/75 is almost 3" larger in diameter where the 195 is 2 1/4" larger, and finally the 185 is about 1 2/3" larger in diameter. I guess if you are going to go with a different tire the best bet is to get one thats as close to the original diameter as the stock size.

odd question... how would you recalibrate your speedo?

dunno how you do it on a Honda but I know on GM trannies the speedo gear in the tranny is how you change it out. The tranny speedo gear's are color coded. You just go up ot down on the plastic gear. Sice our gear is in the metal housing on the tranny i don't think you can do it that way

3.3% too slow you'll be going 62 when your speedo reads 60. Not that big of a deal

here you go. enjoy the fun. if you want handling, 75 series..isn't really optimal for your car. I say stick to the stock size but if you willing to experiment, be my guest. Be sure to report what differences it makes on your car on the forum.

i used to have 175 60 13's on my old school honda rims, but now im mainly riddin on the 195 60 14's. there isnt much difference on the speedo i noticed. when i do get new tires i'll probley go up to a 205 and no bigger. my friend is runnin 215 45 17's on his plymouth acclaim with a 1 in. drop, no problems except for the fact that he never had the suspension aligned after the new drop springs and now has bald yokohama's that were a bit over $700! anyway, if your going for 205's, get a 60 sidewall, not a 75. unless you wanna look like truck tires. i dunno, mine looked like truck tires or something because of big sidewall when i first got the 14's with tires on em. they had 195 75 14. are the tires that are $20 each from the junkyard or from a tire shop? i could use some fairly good tires on my steelies for driving around and let the expensive yokohama's rest a bit.
