do you think it could work? I have a charger that has variable amp settings, like 2, 10, 20 and such. Do you think it would be ok to use it to bench test audio equiptment?

yup, i do it all the time when a PC PSU or my bench PSU aren't enough... just keep the clamps apart like you would if you were handling it for its intended use

well a battery charger is kind of noisy... i wouldnt use it unless you had a serious supply of capacitors, i think the power supply from a computer would be a better bet depending on your current needs

use a battery with a vent tube and a charger hooked to it at all times... make shur the tube goes outside lol

Is a battery charger regulated DC?

yeah pretty much...

and dx... yeah, it's pretty much best to have a battery in there and vented outside... it's not necessary if you're not doing it for a long time, but i had an amp set up inside for several months and only used a .5 farad capacitor as a buffer... in a pinch it works, but the battery is a much better LT option
