two tone primer? Looking decent. I'm not quite in par with you about design but the custom work gets two thumbs up. Hope you have fun with it!

would you ever happen to sell your addco rear sway bar? i want one :(

are yo going to tint the windows? and what color is it going to be painted?

ICEMAN707
05-20-2004, 05:43 PM
i am going to paint it pearl white with chrome flakes i think. and yeah, im going to tint it twice, first with 25% mirror, then 25% black on top of that to give it that dark mirror sunglass effect...so 50% tint all around. and no, i don't drive it without the hood on, just around the street i'm in to keep the car in running condition. im still working on the custom hood. i'm reshaping the stock hood with some bondo, cardboard, mesh grill, fiberglass, anything i could use to make it into a mold. from that i'm going to make another fiberglass mold, then use THAT mold to make the final custom fiberglass piece. lol i hope i didn't lose you guys on that.

Looks good. Did you chop a teg kit, or is that kit all original? Looks good. I don't like the widebody vents on the side skirts, but props on the work. I would have just primed it flat black all around, but whatevuh. Looks good.

I want your SEi, so very clean. Looks good.

so damn sweet!

haha thanks man. wait till you guys see the next set of pics about next week or so. since then i've added on my custom self-made fiberglass fender flares and now it looks almost like a WRX/Skyline/Evo 8 hybrid bastard child. hehe.

the projector headlights are under way too. there is so much room in the headlight housings once you get the flip-up assembly out. so much potential i dunno why no one has done it before. but you guys can see mine once it's done. it looks to me those slim-style camaro headlights fit in there too. all it takes are custom brackets.

does anyone know the complete how-to details on a ls/vtec swap on a 3gee?(besides placeracing mounts, that's obvious). Anyone? 88lxi68? can you help me out here? cus either im doing that or do this swap: i found this crate motor, b18c1 vtec bored out to 2.1L (275 hp/190ft-lb torque). I plan on using a b18a cable tranny with it or if that doesn't work i might mess around with the hydro tranny conversion like they did for older CRX's and civics. I just want to know how you do the vtec and engine management wiring. Anyone?

Damn just paint it allready, your killing me.

ICEMAN707

Damn just paint it allready, your killing me.

lol i can't. it's completely stripped right now. no doors, no hood, no interior, no front fenders, no bumpers, no wheels, and no side skirts. all are taken out to be primed and have the custom fender flares and hood vents put in. it's amazing how much dirt is underneath these old cars. anyways, other than that, i'm still waiting on more money. since i bought the SE-i to drive daily, some of my money went to that.

by the time i put the LXi together, it will be a totally different car. which is what i was going for. it will no longer be easily recognizable as a 3gee. i'm changing EVERYTHING. the headlights will be projectors, the tails will be LED's, the interior will be custom fiberglassed. but that's wayyy after the outside is painted and put together. that would be my next project for the car, is the interior, with all the in-car electronics goodies. then i will work on a b18c1 (or if im lucky, a b18c5) or CRVTec swap.

in case you guys didn't see it before, here are my concept drawings for the car: (p.s. it won't be painted red, but pearl white)

I gotta know how you make the molds for the fiberglass? looks fackin awsome!

i just use the stock body panels and go crazy on them with cardboard, masking tape, some fiberglass, and bondo to make the mold. then after some sanding and smoothing, i got myself and pretty nice mold to make the final fiberglass piece out of. it's like 3 steps:
1) make a mold for mold #2
2) use mold #2 for final piece
3) use final piece to replace stock

Oh damn you have a lot more work planned for that thing, and cleaning up the underside, he he he. I'm doing that right now trying to shave some weight. I need to start working with somw fiber glass to shave some weight, I'm looking into making a fiber glass dash but keep the vents and heater stuff.

haha, WTF are you talking about?? a 4 door 3rd gen accord with custom body work looks like a mustang? and you've got that 98-04 thing all wrong. you're combining two different generations.
