I just orderd a Kosei K1 lightweight rim from tirerack.com yesterday, gonna be getting it on monday or tuesday since their map shows a 1 day delivery time. I just hope it fits. I am getting them 1 a month, so in 3 more months (not including this one) when the last one comes in, they are all going on at the same time to keep even tread wear, instead of going :rice:'ed out with just 2 rears. I might go this route if my patience gets in the way LOL, hope I don't.

nooooo dont get kumho 712! Go FALKEN Ziex 512. From personal experience the 512 is by far a better tire than kumho in terms of road noise/treadwear as well as grip!

Nice rims by the way, my friend is getting those for his sentra. Very light.

i was thinking about getting those in a 15 on my car with like 55 series tires on it. that would look sweeet. shouldnt have gotten white IMO. Get a picture of it against your car. i wanna see how it looks.

Magny

LOL white was the only thing I rather have with black paint, if and whenever I get the paintjob done, I'll get the pics with it mounted instead of against it. gonna have to wait until tomorrow, I don't trust the area that I live in for seeing my sub system in my car, and since my jacks are in the trunk forget it...................wait, when I go to my wifes job I'll do it there, wait until later on today, hope I could get it done fast and easy. found out in the center cap area that whoever mounted this tire on the rim didnt use a rubber or plastic spacer to prevent the paint from chipping...............bastards.

ok pics are in, just remember, the fugly 3" fender gap is from me not releasing the e-brake when I put the car back down.

*EDIT* oh by the way, notice the bumper liner (black capping), looks like its a genuine new piece when it actually is the original with armor-all soaked into it, still is like that now

wow dude looks very nice, i have a brand new set of 205/40/zr17s myself and was worried about the fender gap issue in the wheelwells myself, and actually after seeing your car, its not bad at all. I was almost gonna save up and lower the car first but after seeing yours i might not.

Magny
05-29-2004, 08:45 PM
just remember, that fender gap is because when I lowered the car back to the ground the e-brake was holding my car up so thats why it looks like it has a 3" gap. it actually is about 1 3/4" gap mabey 2" cause when I went to leave back to home I released my e-brake and my whole left side of the car droped down to its stock height. if you want to lower the car, you can but put them on first to see how much room you have to play with first. best thing to do before buying lowering springs and screwing everything over in the end.

hey blazin, although it looks a little off with the photo editing, it still looks good, even gives the side a thought about how it would really look with the end result.

BTW, I am gonna be getting a right side to replace my rear set of wheels and go ricer mode for 3-4 months cause I really need to replace my rear tires urgently, so when I get my second one in, I am gonna get a new clutch and flywheel before I get the front 2. Didnt really want to go this route, but gonna have to now since I really need to change the rears fast.

I think those rims look really odd on your car since the rims are white.. have fun keeping them white though magny.

I personally think bronze would've look better.

Looks good, would look nice and clean with a sticker removal conversion.

Magny
05-30-2004, 11:50 AM
bah dont worry about the weirdness with the white and fugly brown, the car is gonna get a black peralecent paint job next year. as for the sticker removal conversion as project-lxi, its gonna be done when the paint job gets done. the stickers are faded anyways, tried removing them with all kinds of stuff and still hasn't came off yet, so still trying to get them off.

Actually the fender gap looks much worse in person. Once I got my 17" I got coilover ASAP casue I couldn't stand the huge gap.

it looks good magny!...and the armor-all use on the black stuff on our cars...it works well usually?

it actually is still black after 2 weeks of being on there, has't faded its color to that greyish look yet

Not unless I beat you do it. Then I will sell them to get the same wheel in 16x7.

man what are you talkin about?
sorry to say, but I dont know how the e-brake will make your car look higher...
Even when it does settle, u're gonna have a whole fist of space in the front.. just gotta face it..
and start saving your bread to lower...
peace

Magny
06-01-2004, 07:51 PM
nah man, its just like sitting at a dead stop on a hill at about 30 degree angle just about and pulling the e-brake and letting go of the brake. when you do that, the rear raises up by about 2" more or less. I'll get a picture of it tomorrow, this time I'll let the e-brake go and let the car sit down like it supposed to. I'm gonna do it with the new rim on so I can get a better look at the fender gap.

alright man, but dont wear yourself out jacking the car up and down a bunch of times just to change that rim, then take it right back off.

06-02-2004, 09:42 AM
yea you will definatly need to lower that thing cuz right about now it looks like a 4X4 lol. Mine did too but then i bought my coilovers...wow big difference. But i am definatly likin that rim...when u get the next 3 your ride will be hotness

Magny
06-22-2004, 02:46 PM
got my 2nd rim in today, gonna mount them and go ricer mode for 3 months, but will get pics with them on and also settle the dispute about the e-brake thing with a pic too.

i'd wait to put em all on if i were you that way you wont have 4 tires wearing unevenly. Thats just what i'd do.

Magny
06-22-2004, 07:28 PM
bah once I get the front two on after I get my clutch renewed, I am gonna attempt a few sec. burnout. never gotten my car to do a burnout at all with euro touring tires, so why not. anyways it doesnt really matter about the tread wear, cause these tires arent the ones I really wanted anyways. I wanted nitto xtremes, but the people at tirerack.com dont have them, so gonna have to suffer for a while and a long ass one at that. but still it will come eventually.

anyways pics of them installed and locked down are at this site:

Pictures (http://img71.photobucket.com/albums/v216/Magny/)

as for that fender gappage, the original steelies mounted left me with a 3 finger gap and now with these rims on I am left with a 2 finger gap so roughly 1 3/4" gap compared to a 2 1/2" gap before

ok, your right, after removing all the crap in my trunk (including my heavy ass sub system amp and all), all the junk in my rear seating area, it raised the car back to its stock location of 2.25" gap, so it was because of all the weight on the rear that was holding it down.
