Ok, latly the car has sounded horrible, and on start up theres dark black smoke and blue smoke, and damn it stinks! :barf:

the car has had a bad oil leak for over a year, but thats only smoked after the car is hot,

im thinking its piston rings.... my dad thinks its the carb!

when the car starts, speciely in the early morning, its takes about 3-4 attemps, then when it does start it runs very rough for the first 20 mins :ugh:

what do you guys think?

at very first i thought it was headgasket, but the smoke isnt white :dunno:

does it keep dumping smoke when you excellerate? my friends got a civic that does that, his dad thinks its the piston rings... the starting could be the carb tho...

it smokes when the car excells yes, anytime theres gas givin, blue/black smoke and exhaust comes out the back, sometimes a cloud, and sometimes continueus(sp?)

I was thinking on the same lines but more of the whole car since the chassie has the same kinda miles. BUt damn...... 350K miles???? thats friggin crazy dude.

and my86dx4dr, this is not performance dude, its more technical. post this kinda stuff there next time. :)
