Has anyone used a act hd00 clutch kit (http://www.superiorracing.com/shop/?page=shop/flypage&offset=0&product_id=1348&category_id=7b0640074ab6d0785c6ea2b244098fe6) on our cars? I'm replacing a Centerforce DF which lasted no time (could be due to a bad install, though). I'm not going with Centerforce again, it performed like my stock clutch. No bite, too smooth.

our cars have a strange flywheel layout. witout the pressure plate mounting being machine when the clutch surface is machined you get a 5% reduction in clamping force for every 0.005 this dimension is out. trust me the flywheel was inccorectly machined or left out of spec. as a wear note the clutch face of the flywheel wears about 0.005 for a normal clutch over its life. so if they machine .020 off the flywheel and given the 005 wear already induced you wind up with a dimension error of .025 inches reducing clamping pressure roughly 45%. this is why most clutchs fail so fast after replacemnet.

Funstick - thanks for your help! That's a lot more than I knew! Is there a performance clutch you recommend?

So FUNSTICK do you recommend buying a new flywheel if you hav like 350000km on it. In the next few months I was gonna change my clutch. Mine is not even 2 years old, but before I parked my car. I was coasting backwards, dropped the clutch and.... well my clutch did a burn out. After that I drove it for 2 weeks and no slipage - even had a mechanic check it out and he said that the clutch felt fine - but what the f***
thanks in advance

as lomg as the flywheel can be brought back into spec without being to thin i would say no. however with the mileage on yr car i would say yes buy a new flywheel from honda if you can.
