View Full Version : Anyone shaved eyebrows?

Andrew

Has anybody shaved the eyebrows off the flip up light or done any other custom bodywork to the front of the car? I'm thinking of doing a little custom work to the front end but I'm not sure what it would look like.

heheh if you pass out, your fair game. I passed out in a lawn chair around a campfire and woke up completely TP'd and wearing make up. it was hilarious.

the moral of this story....dont spend all day boating in the sun and then drink and sit in front of a heat source.

I was thinking about just painting them, although I guess it wouldn't be that much more trouble to fill in the gab that is between the trim and the cover, the tough part comes when you need to change the bulb, you should be ok if you have the H4 conversion cause you just need to pull the bulb out of the back, but if you ever need to change the housing remember that the trim comes off with the black cover around the light.

Why not just convert to 3g prelude fenders, headlights, and bumper?

Have you researched that steve? Do you know if they just swap over or is there lots of custom work envovled?

I havent researched it, but if people have put the 3g lude bumpers on our car, what is stopping using the fenders and buckets? Its worth a shot in my opinion because if you remove the plasitic on our accord buckets we still have those side markers so it really doesnt flow in my opinion.

I would just trim the plastic piece, I think it would work, I'll take a closer look before I do anything permanent.

the idea of the prelude front end conversion would be cool. i'd like to do that, use the 3rd gen prelude front end and rear end. that would require more work than just bolting it on for sure. although, if you have the money it wouldnt be much problem. lol.

i would just get the lude. a tad more power and it handles way better. (stock for stock that is)

There is a sick 3rd gen show car that is by my buddy's ex-wife's place. It has shaved everything, door handles, trim, emblems, molding, trunk, etc.... Its been on the board before, if anyone remembers it was for sale for 7k$ on ebay, from Santa Clara, CA, it had a custom ram air hood scoop and was redish orange in color.

Since it was bought by someone, even more custom work has gone into it; the bodywork, new wheels, and changes to the taillights. If there is any way for him to post some pics here on the site I'll try to get him to.

I tried to post a pic following the directions for Foundation Members but they are obviously incorrect, when I clicked on the browse button all it did is upload it to my Vb Garage, it did not add it to my post. I think that maybe I am of sub-standard intelligence.

Hmmmmmmmmmm, still not sure I like that, plus you blanked out the grill?

pimp86LX
05-29-2004, 03:20 AM
ya bastard! stole my pic......hehehe he probably did that because i had some flat black on that spot to hide the rust that formed from the missing H on the front. It looks fugly. I flat blacked a lot on that old 3g. at one point it didnt' look 1/2 bad for a $100CAD car

more pics at

check out the center console, that was also flat black'd and it turned out nice.

I'm still not sure whether or not I like it either, it's just an idea I was toying with, the grill is supposed to be mesh. I would probably put some kind of trim around it, check the PIC out again. Just make sure you take into account that my photochopping skills aren't the greatest. I would also probably leave the 'H' on the car.

Was this kind of the effect? I photoshopped this up quick and I think it looks pretty clean. one would be troubled by two things: no grille and no corner blinkers. Both, I'm sure, are easily solved with a little creativity, and can and would be unique, at the very least.

BTW: if I used your car for my little project here, and you don't like that so well, just pm me or e-mail me and I'll be more than happy to take it down.

it makes the car look older, i don't like it.
those stripes make the car look mean, tint them or paint them, but don't get rid of them.
if you do i will spank you for being a silly, silly boy

hold your horses speedpenguin, i'd rethink that. i have some free time, i may draw up some redesigned 3gees. i gotta do it because i wanted to a long time ago. i'll probley get to that. i'll post those up when i'm done.

If you use the prelude bumper then you can get all of your signals taken care of... or with a nice kit on it, that would look super clean, kinda reminds me of older RX7s... but thats the random image that popped in my head...

Or just like you do now, When you pull the release it will pop up enough to reach under there and open the latch.. DUH.. LOL

Actually it doesnt look like It would be that hard, maybe Extend the hood similar to the way "thegreatdane" did to give his fixed lights that eyelid look and fill in the headlights and paint! It should be pretty straitforward.

It wouldn't matter if you shaved the grill, the hood would still pop up and you could reach your hand in there you goof ass!

probally illigal anyways w/o the side marker
in the US you must have a yellow reflector on the side near the front so yeah illegal here

if you're gonna shave the grille and the eyelids you might as well go for the full lude or teg front end conversion imo.. it looks too plain with the flat front plus would it allow enough air flow?

looks like a teg to me... just cut the hood grill area to match the teg hood.

that pic looks just like a lude but it looks like they put an integra hood and headlight buckets on the accord which is an interesting thought i wonder if it would work out? i guess one can only try to know for sure.
