i hooked up my intake today. i have a few questions about it..? ok 1. is it supposed to sound diffrent cuz mine does? 2. when i rev the engine it looks like its sucking stuff in 3.did i need the pipe for a civic i bought it but didnt need it cuz i used the pipe off my old stock filetr which seems to work fine i will try to get some pics of it tomorow 4. how much horse power does it add??

I'd like to see those pics.. Also, can you give me some simple steps to follow while installing an intake?

Hey there:
1) it is supposed to sound different.
2) what do you mean? Does it look like it's sucking things toward the filter? Please elaborate.
3) you should take off the stock airbox, use the pipe from the civic and cut 3" off of the end.

i left the air box on im gonna change it later yeah it sucking towards the filter when i changed the filter i was told u were suposed to be able to see threw it the person i bought my car from never changed theres and my filter was BLACK u could tell where the plastic stopes and started. will it make much of a differnce with the air box on? and the steps i used to install it were pretty easy all i did was take off the pipe connceted to the air box open the air box removed the filter put the box back on connect ur air filter to the end of the pipe and stick it back on. its that easy :cool:

If i'm reading your post correctly your telling me your running the "intake" off of your black air box? It's supposed to come directly off of the throttle body. It's the metal piece that says efi on it.

I dont think im quite folloowing the pipe you ran off the intake....
will the cold air from a civic fit on the accord, if not then please elaborate on the pipe and which end to cut 3 inches from
