need help player question QUICK!

alright heres the deal. i bought a new poineer cd player cause i thought my jvc one was broken. i get all the wiring done and its still not turning on. fuses are ok. i tested the wires for the red with the black on a 12v lightbulb. wont evenpower that. i dont know what to do any 1 know how to fix this problem?

check your ground, maybe try running the power from another source. is the deck brand new?

The red/black wire is the lighting wire. You should only get 12 volts on that wire with the headlights on. Do you have 12 volts on the yellow/red wire? Does your antenna raise and lower?

antenna is shaved. this happened the other day. with my jvc player it would let the cd eject but wouldnt even turn on. the poineer is strait out the box.

RADIO 12V yellow/white
RADIO GROUND black
RADIO SWITCH yellow/red
RADIO ILLUMINATE red/black
POWER ANTENNA white/yellow

are you grounding it throught the wireing harness or strait to the frame? if in the wire, thy grounding it drirectly to the frame or vis versa.

nevermind it was a fuse in the box in the engine bay, but hey a new poineer for a jvc.. im happy lol

Dash Fuse Box = Fuse 13(10A) - Under-Hood Fuse Box(Hot at all Times) = Fuse 11(10A) ..Remember, always disconnect your battery when doing this shit!
