hi guys,

i've just changed my rear break pads and now the e-brake is 'uneven' (right is better than left)...if i try to adjust the e-brake from teh adjuster i get good e-brake on the left while the right wheel gets stucked. I have greased the e-brake mechanism attached to the calipers and so on (they seem to work allright)...but when i take a look at the adjuster (inside the car) it looks like the left cable is longer than the right one.

is it the caliper that is not selfadjusting anymore?

cheers!

You might have to rebuilt it, but I would try to remove and flush it first.
Hope this helps.

I had the same thing. Removed the faulty brake caliper (rear) and saw it was rusty on the inside. The only way to fix it was to replace it. The pen which is controlled by the handbrake lever got stuck, so the brake pads kept making contact with the rotors (the wheel got very hot too after a short ride).
