ok, i've had my side skirts and back piece for a while now. believe it or not i got them from the junk yard. very lucky find! paid about $45 for sides and back. i still need a front piece, i wanna get the urathane one, dont know how to spell that. anyway, i took some pix of the pieces. the back piece you can see where the cracks are and where it cracked in half, i need to get the fiber glass repair kit. it should look good when its done. i did a test fit. used some masking tape to hold it on and cleaned it up on the computer. looks decent, the paint on the kit is dull, but im repainting it anyway.

it was either spend $45 and fix it up or pay a bit over $600 for the same shit that i'll have to paint anyway. so its all good. yeah, the back piece looks pretty beat up. now you'd know why i dont want a front that is fiber glass. they arch where the exhaust tip comes out needs to be enlarged to clear a tip. i'm going to need to make a new arch, so i might as well do it on the left side also because i'm putting 2 dual tips for the M3 look. as for a drop, y'all can suggest one. i'm lookin for a drop that wont scrap too easily. no more than 2". i'm not sure if 2" would be too much. although with the right shocks and struts it should stiffen it up enough to prevent bottoming out. i'll still have my 14" prelude rims on unless my money situation changes. i'm still trying to decide whether or not to go for a 2 tone paint job. black on bottom, and the gold on top. tomorrow i'll see if i can get the fiber glass sheets and resin. but it still depends on how much its gonna cost.

is that kit for our car? and how the hell did you find that in the junk yard??!??!?!
as for the drop, 1.5 all around and 16 inch rims. you won't get much of scraping and it'll look low with the big rims.

yeah, 16's were really the biggest i would wanna go. still want some ride quality and not haveing to worry as much for pot holes. i believe its the kaminari kit for the 88-89. fits really well. i'd probley make some minor changes so it fits perfect. the way i found it in the junk yard is that i wasnt having shit luck i guess, like i usually do. lol. yeah, thats like a once in a life time kind of thing eh? ...........oh yeah, will a 1.5" drop be noticeable with my 14's or 13's on? my friend has a 1" drop with Eibach's on his plymouth acclaim. not very noticeable, but i suppose a half an inch could make a difference.

That's the Kamanari kit. Honda didn't make factory bodykits for our cars to my knowledge.

Great find man, good luck with it.

i've had it in my tool shed since i got it last summer. i'm buying a grinder either tomorrow or sometime next week, so i'll be able to get the fiber glass done right. i saw some repair kits at all the auto part stores, but they have the same one at home depot for cheaper. i dunno. i think i will need more fiber glass sheets and resin than what the kit comes with. also, i need some plastic body filler, that stuff is easy to get. anyone got some tips on doing the fiber glass, doing the primer? i wanted to get a primer that will be good with automotive paint. i'll see what front kit would look good with what i got.

i dont know how much glassing you have in mind but i get mine at home pepot just buy a gallon if you have left overs trust me youll find a use for it and get about three bags of matting about 24.00 for the resin and 4.00 a bag of matting better to have extra then to come up short. get a box of latex gloves and about ten $ 1.00 paintbrushes and some accetone.sandpaper and bondo if nescessary. mixing the resin takes practice youl learn how fast adding to much hardener will dry the resin. apply resin on surface have your matting pieces precut to fit in there spots then lay down small piesces of matting at a time using a stabbing action with a wet brush you can tell when the matting is soaked all the way through. keep an ieye out for airbubbles stabbing down any that you can. sand in between layers if youre laying down several layers. this helps to keep out the air bubbles. whater you do dont mix to much resin at once about 5 ounces is good if your working with little hardener 12 ounces is good.in between layers or mixing resin leave the brush in some accetone.if you wanna learn more go to thetwelvevolt.com and check out the fiberglass forum.

so this is what the rear bumper is outta huh? cause in Washington DC, when i was driving by, this dude in his blue sedan had the same kinda bumper. i was like god-damn it looks nice. but i was like, but its not the Xenon. now i see. I like the rear bumper. only bad thing, u dont have mudflaps. :)

why, you think mud flaps would look good on it? i thought they would when i first got it. i do like the looks of rear mud flaps and their functionality to keep road shit off the side of the back bumper. i have some front ones i took off though. if i do want some, i'll buy them brand new because i cant find any in the junk yards that arent messed up by the sun, you know cracked and nasty. i'll have to see about that and if they'll fit.

for a body kit, nah u cant have mudflaps cause it would end up looking like ass. I was just stating as a joke cause i really like the rear bumper, but i have mudflaps and it does not. :D

OIC, then i wont bother getting new rear mud flaps. i'll hope to be getting help from my friend who knows his fiber glass shit. i'll see how he's doing it. his front bumper is still holding up well even through a few bumps on dips! thanx pixiesfan78 for the tips and info site. i'll check that out and maybe end up doing this all myself.

ask him to get you a fiberglass lip. Dont go for the whole bumper. If it does crack for any reason, which they are highly prone to even under low load, it will look like butt. Just ask him to get u the front and rear valances made. Now that would be hot.

i planned on getting the xenon front bumper kit because its the rubber material, dont know how to spell it correctly, urathane? you get the idea. i'm staying away from any fiber glass in the front, unless i can get a fiber glass hood made cheaper than a cf one.
