i got an 86 accord that i'm going to send to the wreckers , but i want the engine out ... if i take the engine out , could i keep the brake parts for to car so that i could tow it to the wreckers ??

No worries man, as long as you don't want to use power brakes & you don't break a brake line you should be fine.

If you pull the engine, you will have to also take out the tranny. The only problem I can see is that the inner ends of the CV Shafts would need to be tied down somehow so they don't lock up and flail around. You can't remove the CV shafts because they hold the hubs in place. So, as long as you can secure the half-shafts, you should be able to tow it.

dissasemble the inbord CV joint and pull the main shaft out.
Have fun towing a car without power brakes, I did that on a 2nd gen and the brakes caught fire.

You don't need the axles in to tow it. Cut the fuckers close to the fork or pull them out completely. If they're good, you can use them on whatever you put the engine in.
