i'm tired of opening my hood and seeing a black dull valve cover (thanks for clearing this up for a newbie). is there any special paint i'd have to use? also, with regards to heat, what kind of treatment do i use (if any) before/after the painting?

:lol :lol haha, engine block....its called the valve cover, just take the 3 bolts off of it and pull it off, and spray it with some heat resistant paint available at almost any auto part store, and dont forget to clean it up a bit before you spray

I think I read about that in the meet forum. Unfortunately I don't have the cash to drive down there right now. I'm in massive debt and all spare cash I get goes to insurance. If you have another meet a few months from now, I'd probably be able to show up.
