i went and got these upper glare shields from a mercedes' fog lights. i put 100 watt bulbs in my fogs which made them have a horrible glare. along with that i had put in 14 gauge wiring which made the 55 watt original ones bright too. i had to get these glare shields so i wouldnt keep having trouble with blinding people. here's some pix of what i got. then you can see how i installed them by riviting them in. works well. i'll have to see how they shine now. hope the light that shines onto the road isnt affected, shouldnt be because those only cut out the upper light output. oh yeah, im going to add more pix, this isnt it. i'll take some at night to show how they shine.

lucky for me, the mercedes i got them off had broken lenses on the fog lights. i would have never know they were in there otherwise. i'll try and find what year it was from. i had to clean those up quite a bit, they had a lot of surface rust. i think they did help out some. there isnt as much glare from the lights at a regular driver's eye hight. there still is some, maybe a little more adjustment and i'll get it right. none of the light that shines on the road was effected. once i get them adjusted right, i'll take some pix. they're nothing fancy though, but they do shine pretty far. i think i'll set them by eye to where they shine just above the point my headlights cut out and go from there. then i can even them up............ok, the mercedes' to look for would be the SL class. 300SL-560SEL two door hard top or roadster. years 1973-1989. i think the one i got mine from must have been about a '78. it even had a wooden steering wheel.
