Really? I own a Teg and that is definitely not a B18, or even the older ZC

cheap???? you guys call this engine cheap??? damn I don't what to see an expensive engine.

That auto tranny engine will get close to 1200 bucks once it gets in the US with all the custom fees and shipping charges.... That is a 18 years old engine to start with... the price should not be more than 300 bucks.

88accordhb, Laugh all you want but $1200 for a full swap is good. This thing has everything you need and more. Also i dont need to sell it so its not an issue but the money would be nice to finish up the turbo project early. I have well over $10,000 in that motor alone so money is not really an issue but this is just a spare setup along with my other so i have 3 full B20A swaps while many talk about buying one but never do.

I do agree with carotman being such an old swap it should cost less but unless you get lucky and find a place that has been stuck with the swap they will want top dollar for it. And when somethings rare its worth more nevermind getting a 5 speed transmission. You will not find a swap as complete as that one for less unless your a very luck person.

no dude, i'm not saying that that b20 motor you got is a bad deal, it's just a b20a on ebay for 600 i thought was a better deal...and if i had money i'd rather buy yours because it's from a fellow 3g member, i can never trust ebay. Carotman thought 600 was a rip off. no offense to ya! and yes i do agree with him and you, a 15 year old swap in one way should cost nothing more than 500, but unfortunately in another way, that's a prized swap for us 3geezer, thus the reason for the overpricing.

Sorry to be so defensive i do understand but i got numerous emails about buying stuff and not many seem to follow through. I got a bunch of emails about the swap but no takers and i even dropped it to $1000. If the 5 speeds were not so hard to find the swap would be a lot cheaper. But a few members in key locations have it made since the B20A hype is so high and many places thought they had a prelude swap which they didnt. So a lot of places wanted to dump them and some did for dirt cheap. I know a lot of places that import no longer are allowed to import the B20A. I assume because so many came over and didnt sell for such a long time. So i think the future of the swap will be short lived as most shops wont touch it unless its prepaid and shipped in from Japan at that point.

As much as I would love to go with a b20a swap its my own impatients that keep s me from following through. I'm the kind of person that likes to be able to get parts as soon as I need them, not have to wait for things to be shipped. I get enough of that trying to get a20 parts here in smallsville. Rob and I discussed the one he has now and I will agree it is the cheapest way to do a swap of all the available options. I did alot of researching after talking to Rob and decided at this time iots just not the right swap for me.

Rob you also have to remember alot of this site is younger people who "have a dream" but don't have the finances to make them come true.

Whoever ends up buying the motor you have will be VERY happy with it from the way you described it. If its still around next month I may want to take a look at it and your setup, if you don't mind further educating me

Yeah $1000 takes it but i wont ship unless its really worth the hastle. If its not sold in the next week or two its staying here with me for some fun later. I just was trying to get some easy cash if possible but i dont think its gonna be easy. But not a big deal as i dont think the turbo will be done for the CT meet next month. But it will be done really soon after if all goes well.

a full setup (with a manual tranny) is worth more than the ebay engine guys.
