I've just heard a lot of better things about Pioneer headunits than Sony stuff. But I've also heard the quality of Sony stuff is getting better.

how do you like your HU? Is there anything about it that you don't like?

Both are pretty ugly HUs. I'd say go with the Sony ONLY if you want a deck with XM built-in. Otherwise, go with the Pioneer. You'll probably be much happier in the long run as it'll most likely out-live the Sony.

say no to sony, they usually sound nice but never work right... The pioneer is a good choice, alpine and eclipse HUS are also EXCELLENT choices

geeze everyone here goes by name brands, id go for the deck that has more features (probably the pioneer) ive got a sony deck and never had any problems.. next deck i buy will hopefully be alpine or audiobahn, mmm audiobahn

i would tend to go for eclipse... if you can grab a clarion deck at BB, i'd get that... better quality than pioneer

more features, well i don't know, my alpine deck is 2 years old and some pioneers that cost the same don't have the features my Alpine deck has.
Insted of waisting your money on pioneer and buying good deck later down the road, you should just save more money and get yourself a nice deck.
and remember, you get what you pay for.

I went ahead and got the pioneer 7600mp. It has a proven track record whereas the sony i've heard skips on cds.

Its a pretty good deal since they swapped my old unit which was worth $250 straight for the 7600 which is $300.

Glad you picked Pioneer!!! You have a Japanese car why not go with a Japanese deck??????
