Im pretty sure that it'll work, because they are both F22's, but will the F22 out of a 4G fit in a NON-VTEC 5G? Or well, its not whether or not the engine will fit, I know it will, Im just wonmdering about the tranny, will the newer F22 tranny bolt up to the old F22 block??
Sorry for the trouble, but I found a 1997 Lx 2dr for $500, WOW, but it needs a motor, but i have a 1991 Lx parts car with a REBUILT engine in it, (under 10k miles), and Im gonna buy this '97 if the engine will fit, thanks.

All the F22As use the same mounts and crap like that. You will have to deal with converting the engine from OBD1 to OBD2.

Good luck!

You'll have to check out a board that has more about 5th gens than here. A lot of us don't have too much knowledge about the newer accords. Try http://www.accordtuner.com or possibly another Honda board such as http://www.honda-tech.com or http://www.hondaswap.com

Haha, on man thats funny. Here in the South just about anything goes. I see cars and trucks (mostly trucks) without beds, hoods, doors, air cleaners, strait exaughsts, propane out the tailipipe (for theatrics). As long as its got a plate and a few lights it can be on the road.

the F and H motors have the same mounts and will bolt into any accord/prelude xfrom 1990 all the way to 2000 i believe. With the exeption of the accord V6 of course.

but keep in mind, just because the motor bolts up doesnt mean its plug and play.

ok, well, what if i pulled the f22 out of the 5g, and the one out of the 4g. Then i put all of the accessories from the 5g block on the 4g block, like im just changing the blocks and bottom ends, because the 5g has a slung rod, would this work w/out having to worry whether stuff will fit or not, and it'll still be OBDII??
