The red door handle is going to go bye bye, just have to paint it. The carpet is coming along too pretty well. I'm also doing the back panels as we speak. I need to get some black seat belts now.

Take off door panel, take off old shit, put on new vinyl. It's that easy. I used 3M
Spray Glue.

I'm just ambitious as hell, and get sick of seeing those stupid ass civics around town blinging...it's my farking turn. I'm also making a rear strut bar and getting a tapeholder for my dvd player-and putting the screen in the glove compartment. I'm also taking my engine out in the next month and regaskiting it as well as putting a new clutch in.

hey bitesize, just take your car into the Honda dealership and tell them the seatbelts arent working and have them replaced with black ones. honda seatbelts have a lifetime warranty. If they're not broke, break em!! :D

yes, honda will replace any seatbelt free of charge if they determine its broken (which isnt hard to do). They'll do just about any seatbelt.

Where are you going to get the seat belts from?? I just redid my interior in my hatch and I need black seatbelts also. Couldn't find any in the junkyard and the dealership wanted a $1,000 for a whole set. What I am thinking about doing is buyins some more vinyl (that's what I used to cover my back seats) and stapling it around my seat belts. That would be a lot cheaper.

That's true. My passenger side seatbelt doesn't work. So I took it to the dealership to have them replaced, they ordered new ones, but everytime I went to get them installed I had to always wait in line and thier excuses were "we're too busy to do them today". I got tired of their lame excuses.

they make that Dye for dying shoes, you could try using that on your seatbelts, it's only a couple bucks at walmart, it's not in the shoe area, if i remember it's kinda around cleaning supplies and shit.

It will fade onto your clothes and make the seatbelts brittle though.

hey bite size two things.is the white door handel part vynal or did you paint it if you vynaled it how did you get it so seamless?also i dont know if you ever do how tos but revynaling door panels would be a sweet howto. mad props man cant wait to get to mines. but i got to many more important projects on the list before i get to those. id like to do the centerconsole to since its so hard to paint. im goin with the black and white theme as well but i didnt bite off of bitesize ive been planning those for a year. and my cars white so it was the obviouse choice. and yeh i have to agree with wood 96 even though im not a huge hatch fan. yours is the cleanest one ive seen yet bitesize.

ah, very nice. and another 3gee gets a good touch of its owner's ability. i did mine back in november '03. did only the top that was originally vinal and dyed the fabric black. i used marine type vinal, so no worries of absorbing moisture. still looks great, no fading here. just yesterday and the day before i did a bit of touch up gettin some corners looking good. now it looks a lot better. here's some pix of mine. not everyone is a fan of the red and black interior, but its definately different. most people that see my car in person really like it. i love the feeling of when people ask me where i got it done, they expect a shop's name. i love telling them i did it all myself.

its red and black. there's still that nasty brown in there. need to take car of that because it's way outta place. carpet and dash need a redo. i'll probley get to the dash first. all i gotta say is its better than doing the red and white that i'd first wanted to go with. or really any other colors like blue, yellow, white, and especially brown.
