Ok, I wanted to change the look of the car a bit and give a more clean stock look to it while showing the JDM stuff I got (like the lip and corners). If you guys are interested, I could get my hands on some more lips like this one.

I had a euro license plate that was used to hide a huge dent in my bumper... I fixed it and got rid of the plate. You can still see where the dent was but it's nowhere near what it looked like. I'll get a new bumper someday. Notice I got back to stock emblems :)

I'll take pics of the B20A as soon as it comes back from the machine shop.

Enjoy!

Looks good and I can't wait to see it when its done! Im working hard on my B20A so there should be two more running B20A's very soon if things go well.

Have you heard anything from Yasu in a while?

The B20A will be far from stock :)

I'll list everything when I get it in the car.... should be in mid July.

Rob, I really can't wait to do it either.... the machine shop takes longer than expected...

Im in a similar situation my machine shop still can't take mine and i dont want to ship it out to my second choice shop in california. So im gonna wait as long as i have to in order to get proven good machine work. I did cut some time out by ordering the ferrea valves and stuff myself since the intake valves had to be custom made.

Good luck i hope it goes well and cant wait to see some pictures.

Looks great carotman! You and Justin got the cleanest blue cars. Maybe one day i'll join you there. :dunno: The color is B-49M (Laurel Blue Metallic) for whoever that asked. How do you keep the rust away since you live in Canada.

Carotman, as far as the lip, is it on? I see a thin line under your car and..am curious if that indeed IS the lip or is it not installed? I'm interested in this JDM lip you speak of and let us know the details of you aquiring more.

carotman

Yeah the thin lip is the JDM lip.... it's not really noticeable.

I might get a 1st gen teg lip but the fact that this lip is JDM brings a smile to my face... damn JDM fashion trend :D

The key to a clean ride in Canada... don't get it out in the winter... It sucks not to drive your car for 6 months but that's the only way to keep it rust-free. :sadwave:

Hehe thanks :) I didn't want to post picutres of the same car looking the same again and again :). I made a few cosmetic improvements and thought it was time to show it off a bit to the newbies :)

I think it will make a nice sleeper with the B20A under the hood.

Of course, I'll take pics of the swap :) The exerior should look the same except for JDM folding mirrors (waiting for the JDM switch), new emblems and mayyyybe a DOHC emblem :)

Loving it man. I love your wheels too, haha, just like Justin86's...both of them are sweet. I like how you're still supporting the black bumpers, heh. Good deal. Can't wait to see what times you get with the B20A in there. Good luck with the whole ordeal.

damn! looks good! cant wait to see another running b20a other then me on this sight! What are you going to be doing for the ecu are you going to use the b20a5 or just stay with the a20. I am running on the a20 right now and i know i can get alot more power out of it with the correct ecu. I have the b20a5 ecu along with every i need for it to work but am waiting for someone else to do it so i can get tips from them! Good luck man with the swap hope to see it up and running soon!

even with the 3rd gen lude ecu is not gonna pull the max power outta the motor tho. I really wanna know if anyone here got the JDM B20A ecu and tried to put it in. Bet it wont pass emissions, but i might be wrong. We will have to see.

I'll use the A20 ECU for the break-in period. Then I'll switch to an electronic advance distributor with a chipped PK2 ECU (available on Ebay)

Then, maybe a Hondata :D

What is the expected 0-60 MPH-time for a manual B20 3G? Maybe something along the lines of 7,9 seconds?

i think the fastest so far for the B20A is paul from russia, who got a 8.3 or 8.4 seconds. But do know, An A20 can do the same time with the bolt ones that the B20A did. Well atleast mine got me the same time.

Only 8.3-8.4? Wow, that is incredibly weak. That makes the B20A-swap seem like a waste of time; considering one has to go to Hell and back to get a hold of a manual B20A... :(

it nothing but a stroker B18 (B18 is a stroked out B16 too). So nothing that amazing about the motor besides its a JDM.

Here is something to look at

Motor = Bore X Stroke

B16A = 81 X 77.4
B18A = 81 X 89
B20A = 81 X 95

Oyvind Ryeng

Thanks for that input. I like to think that the 95mm stroke will produce _monster_ torque, and that hopefully the engine will not tear itself apart due to the excessive piston speeds at higher RPM's...

The USDM 3rd gen ludes with B20A5 motor had bad stroke. As in sensitive stroke. Did not make huge power and pretty much was a shitty motor. SO unless the B20A is re-enforced to handle a lot of power, like Rob with his turbo did, its pretty much better to leave it NA with regular bolt ons, when u go boosting, rule of thumb, change the internals before boosting it.

Speaking of internals i just got all my valve train from ferrea today.....I wish i did the stock B20A swap on my other accord to see what it was like in stock form but i sold it so i cant give any opinions on the stock form. But im really excited that my swap is near completion.
