Before I go deep into the engine diagnosis, I want to know if someone faced a similar problem.

My car will idle at 750/800 rpm without any problem. However, if I hit the gas, blip the throttle or come to a stoplight after driving, it will rev at around 1100 and go down to 750 after a couple of seconds... it always does that. It doesn't really bug me but I want to know if someone found a cure for this problem of will I be the 1st one to do it ? :D

It's not a vacuum leak because it would rev at 1100 all the time I guess. Could it be the MAP sensor that's too slow to react?

Thanks

My car does it too. It will idle at about 1,200 after I come to a complete stop for about 2 or 3 seconds then all of a sudden drop to normal.

Mine does the same thing too. If I unplug the eacv it stops, but then I have to drive basking in the glow of my check engine light.

What and where is the eacv?

It's right in front of the intake manifold, with the wire coming off the fuel injector wiring harness. Electronic Air Control Valve. It raises or lowers the idle when the engine has increased load from the alternator or something.

mine does the same. i am not worried about it because it is better than when you stop at the light and your idle drops below normal.
