Hey guys,
I just got back from Drop Zone, the biggest show of the year that we will go to. It goes from Thursday to Sunday and is basically a huge party in Salem, Oregon. There are over 500 cars and trucks and thousands of people.
I just thought I would throw out a couple of pictures I found from the show so you can see where the cars are now.
The suspension in the wagon is not even close to finished yet but that gives you a basic idea of how it works.

The wagon got second place in under construction car and the Prelude got first place in Compact Car 2 door Wild.

I have a feeling he'll be fiberglassing over that or somthing and maybe putting a small system on top of it.

Thanks guys.
More pictures of the show are available at www.socalcustoms.com listed under Drop Zone.

I will be finishing up the interior of my car. The rear suspension is nowhere near done, that is just a mock up (that does work). It will all be covered and will look good when done. I do have all my stereo that needs to fit, and that will include some fiberglass work.
There is way more tweed work to be done in the Prelude. It doesn't look as goofy if you can see it as a whole. We are going to be color matching some interior parts including the whole console.

Occasionally, but there isn't enough traffic there to keep me interested. I will post the pic of my suspension there for sure.

Your Lude looks amazing as usual, but I think with that color gunmetal rims with a polished lip would make it so much cleaner, I'm just not a fan of chrome rims on Hondas...

did you look through the pictures of the show? 99% of the hondas had chrome rims. . . . . .http://www.geocities.com/n20_racing/smilies/no.txt

This guy lives in Medford I have talked to him a few times. Yeah I don't really care for the car that much but I'm not going to knock it for the work that he put in it. :dunno:

I admit that it looks strange in this picture. It looks a lot cooler in real life where you get the whole effect of a sea of tweed.
I don't have a very good picture of the whole thing yet but here is another.

I think chrome wheels look awesome on hondas!!!! In fact I have chrome rims on mine. What I dont like is when people put those wire wheels on their hondas that belong to a cadillac. You know the ones that are offset and stick out alot. That drives me crazy. Hondas are suppose to have racing rims!!!!

My sister's husband Scott Heler goes to drop zine all the time. Some of you may have seen his civic hb. It's a straight 6g hb with shaved moldings and handles on on air bags. Hes got alba's on it; 20's on the back, and 18's on the fornt, which beleive me, is as big as you can go. He had to custom fabricate the rear wheel wells (if you pull up his molded sub box, you can see them, basically a steel drum cut in quarters, and welded to the body. He's got a tweeded out interior too. I'm excited this year cause he did a bunch of stuff I haven't seen yet, like he made a whole dash that was all flat, and covered in tweed, no gages (relocated to the inside of the glove compartment) and I guess he finished his aem big brake kit too, so I'm pretty excited to see it all done.

Yeah, dropzone was a long ass time ago dude, lol. I can't wait for this year's, who's going?

I'll be there again this year.

I know Scott/Scooter. He is a pretty cool guy. My girlfriend got all excited because their wedding colors were pink and that is her favorite color. I hear that Scott's wife/your sister has 20s on her 95 Accord. I tried some on my wagon and there was no chance of them fitting.

This sure is a small world.

Did you get my pm pearldrop?

Wow, you know him. Were you guys at him and Lacy's wedding? (I was the guy in the grey zoot suit with yellow pinstripes with the really short girlfriend, lol) I wish they still lived around here, he know so much more about cars (suspensions and brakes, not motors) then I do. His civic is mint. Did it more like a mini truck then a honda, but it worked out. You know he still has a stock dx motor in there? It doesn't even run right, but it looks fatty, lol. I've never heard anybody call him scooter though, but Lacy does have an accord with 20" Platinums on it, so I know your talking about the same guy (she's got a 6th gen accord btw, not '95, but close enough). Maybe I'll see you there this year.
