throttle cable

ok, i was driving my car, and then the pedal stopped working basically, the throttle cable is still attached to the throttle body, so im not sure whats wrong with it, any ideas, and how hard is it to replace the whole thing from the pedal to the throttle body?

the pedal just fell to the ground? or does it still feel normal? more details.

the pedal has no resistance, i checked it out, and the adjustment seems to be loose, but it will not tighten.
