tranny salvageable?

my car wont go in reverse at all and when i drive it it slips like really bad it wont go into 3rd and some times it wont go into 4th.by the way the car is a automatic.

but before you trash it, check the fluid level.

yeah... smell the dipstick too... if it smells burnt or is black... bye bye tranny. The last day my automatic accord actually moved, the reverse went and then it slipped itself into oblivion on the ride home from work. Funny thing is that when i went to change the tranny and dump the atf, it was clean as can be and not burnt at all... wierd
