Factory power mirror removal...

I haven't tried yet, but can you access the wiring harness WITHOUT taking off the door panels??? I know you pop the cover and remove 3 or 4 screws to get the mirror off, but can you (without cutting the wires) keep the door panel ON while doing this?? I am gonna paint my mirrors OFF the car, but it would be a lot easier if I could leave the panel on. 2 door, BTW...

The newer Accords have a plug you can unhook right at the mirrors but unfortunatly, our cars have the plug under the door panel so there is no easy way to do it with the panel still on without cutting and splicing later.

One of the mounting bolts is also only accessible behind the door panel. Honda uses a really good design for the snap fasteners, though, so it's a little easier than on other cars.
