I'm hearing a continuous ratteling sound from my compressor everytime I turn it on what could it be.

check the Refrigirant pressure. Did u refill it with R134a? u might not be having engough ester oil in there for lubeing. also. the clutch might be wearing out in the compressor.

Prolly the shaft seal going out. I believe it can be fixed without discharging system.

yeah, it can be as long as the compressor lines are still intact, but i dont know how far that would be possible if ur gonna do it with the compressor in the car. Sure as hell dont wanna break ur back. If u got R134a, just spend 30 more bux and get it refilled after ur done with the compressor. Follow the how-to on the shop manual from paul's website.
