It's worth it getting an AE86 just so one can use these wheels, IMO.

Why wouldnt they fit? You just need to weld on some wider fenders. And those are reeally smooth rims!!

oh, i think with a little work they could fit. although with negative off sets, thats gonna be some work eh? i saw on the product page that they have 40mm off sets and more than that, but not on the deep dish rims. they do look good, kinda old school, they'd look good on a 3gee fosho. guess you'd have to get the type STF to fit right up with out any work.

hey, i was lo9oking at the other hayashi stuff. found what i'm guessing is performance drums? looks like they are to keep them super cool over stock type. and they have big drum things. dont know what that's all about but they look cool.

The Type CR in 8*15 ET0 seems to be the best balance between "deep enough dish" and "work required to make them fit". I *think* with these, they would only stick about 4 centimetres outside the fender, and I'm sure 1 cm. can be gained by rolling them out. Furter lowering w/o adjusting camber would probably make up for another 5 mm - 1 cm. That would only leave, with some luck, 2 cm. That could be made up for by molding some fiberglass on the fender to widen it.

On the other hand, if one is to go trough all the trouble of making a fiberglass fender (I mean, just the arches), why not get the wheels in 8.5*15 ET-6 right away? The work required is about the same, and you end up with a deeper dish that's never been heard of on _any_ 3G anywhere else in the world!

But about those fenders/arches: I wonder if it's even possible to make them wider without them looking really stupid? I mean, the wheel arches on the 3G is huge, and I mean HUGE in stock form. This annoys me, because no matter how much you lower it; the front subframe will hit the ground standing still when the car looks low "enough". Forget about actually beeing able to drive it on anything else but a presicion-flat-surface. Have anybody else noticed this problem?

well, you know our 3gees look old school already right? how about some wide body fenders addapted like some of the old 80's mercedes, bwm's, and porsche's? anyone know what i'm talking about? i remeber old school mercedes with wide fenders and deep wheels, kitted up. i'll have to get a pic of that cuz they looked pretty cool.

Yeah, Hayashi wheels are really cool! My dad had them on his Mitsubishi back in 70's. They were very popular among the extremest speed manias.

The alloy brake drums are for mini vans or vans in Japanese market. Mini vans are ultra popular in Japan due to the bad economy at the moment and they are very small like a shopping Kart.

Note: Some of these wheels are close to impossible to find, and the ones currently in production has to be baught directly from Japan. Shipping will kill me, but I KNOW it's worth it! It's also hard finding some of these in 4*100, as most of them are 4*114,3. Also, the width _has_ to be 8 inches, the height 15 and the offset somewhere around 30 mm.

About buying these cool wheel from Japan, you should find a agent in your country or in your regeon. Cos normally they don't take foreign credit card and dont ship to foreign countrys - mainly cos of linguistic problem. :dunno: I saw some wheels came over to UK with gray imported used car from Japan and on sale in eBay.

This is LongChamp XR4 15" and they came with Mazda MX5 which has same PCD as 3G. I have wrote to the seller but the offset wasn't what I wanted so I did't take them. Although the seller doesn't ship them out but you can make a deal if he is up for it. They are only 70 pounds (=105 USD) man!

You better double check the condition and offset cos Longchamps XR4 and most of the wheels you mentioned are originally for FR cars - tend to have less offset like +30 & +0. The kickback to the steering may become very strong. I am pretty sure the tyre will stick out from your car's wing a bit.

Probably postage and arrangement will be the hardle cos the seller wanted the buyer to collect them. If you offer him good deal he might arrange it for you so that courier company come to collect the wheel from the seller and ship them over to your door.
