I found this stuff at auto-geek.net called Forever Black. It basically redyes the trim. It seemed to bring back a lot of the bumper trim that had been sun-faded and had wax buildup in it. I would post some pics, but it is raining like hell right now. Hopefully that stuff had time to dry before the rain, or I may be starting over again tomorrow.

the true test of whether or not the stuff is worth buying is if it lasts thru rain and washing. keep us posted. i wouldnt give up if it got washed off because it very well could have not had a chance to dry properly.

The thunderstorm passed and it is all still there. I plan on doing a few more coats tomorrow when I get home and the trim will hopfully look good as new.

Forever Black gets a thumbs up from Teamintegra.net

I know this shit works. Many rave about how it is great and alot better than those other trim restorers. I need to get some time to restore mine too.

can you get it at auto zone? like Mattphi, my trim looks like shit now (although the shoe polish kept it ok for 2 or 3 washes and a few storms). the real problem i've got is some spots where i got wax on it and it won't change back from white.

I have never seen it at a place like that. I saw a reference to it on another forum and tracked it down for sale at www.auto-geek.net.

I used it on the bumper trim and lower valence and mudflaps. They all look 100% better. The only trim that did not take to the product too well was the door trim. So I cleaned it off of there.

Anyway, here are some before and after shots along with some other closeups.

Closeup of the front bumper trim. Due to a bad mask job, you can see a definite difference between the area covered and the area treated with FB:

I have used Black Magic tire shine with success on trim. I forget who it's made by but Pep Boys and Advance Auto parts has it.

I like the Forever Black because it dyes the plastic back to being black. Paint can peel and cause problems if you don't prep right and most other things are only good for a few washes before you have to reapply them.

I know this is an old post but I tried the stuff today on my rear bumper (the front one is brand new so wasn't faded)

All I can say is that it looks brand new again. I tried some other stuff in the past but this one wins the 1st place!
