I working on my 89LX restoration project, my originally installed A20A1 has the crackshaft broke in half, so think this block is bad. I bougth an used A20A3 but this have a bent rod, i take this good crank to the shop and they machinned to 0.025mm i have all rod and main bearings, so block and crank is OK. question is about pistons w/rods.

I plan to use this A20A3 whit its own 3 good pistons and use one good piston from the old A20A1, can this be done ??.

I read the numbers stamped on this both pistons here they are by location:

..................A20A3.............A20A1
top_piston......PJ0................PH4
side_piston.....PJ0..HF4.........PH4..HF27
Rod...............PC6..43..........PC6...59
conectin_rod....M2.................K2

so i plan to use 3 pistons PJ0 and 1 piston PH4, can i do that ? is all same pistons for A20. they all look same and i measure and they're same size.

Luis, you don't want to use diff pistons. trust me.
as you know carbed and EFi accord motors had diff. compressio ratio.
so, this is what i would recomend for you.
contact Dimond pistons and order 10.5:1 or 11:1 pistons. you will be happy in the future.

Hey Alex what if i use all PH4 from A20A1 on my A20A3 block ? this can work ?

i don't have nice chance to order stuff since i live in mexico, if order stuff i have to travel to U.S. south border on my cousin house to pick them up.

actually i would say go with the other one PJ0.
they may give you better compressio ratio.
