Alright I was driving my sisters car yesterday, and I pulled up to stop light. then as I was letting off the brake to inch forward a little the car lunged forward, luckily i was able to hit the brake and stop it, but I got to admit that it did scare me I was right at a major intersection.

About my sister's car it is a 89 honda accord, auto.

I was thinking throttle postion sensor. What about you guys.

THANKS

Since we are on the TPS, how do you, or is there a way to test a TPS?
I'm getting a used throttle body, and if its possible I would like to test it b4 I do anything with it.
Thanks

use a digital volt meter, the volt rage's from .1-5volt's.

Thanks accordlxi2.0
There's another thing though, I got the used throttle body from the 89 and I am going to have to modify it to use it. But if I just replace the tps it would be easier, witch leads me to anther question, is ther someone who carries them? In my area nobody but the dealership has them, and they are tring to sell me a complete new throttle body!!
Is there someone on line I can get one from that you know of?? If you know anything let me know.
later

Different vaccum lines, there is no place to mount the other vaccum actuator deally thingy. I could make it work, but it'll take a bit of doing. Like my technical terms there??lol
Anyway, I'm a little uneasy buyin a j/y one, it may not work either. :sad2: But I think that I will sell this one from the 89 that I got, I've found some new ones from online auto parts wholesalers, so I think I'm going that route.
