I used the instructions in the Haynes by removing the half-shaft and suspension bar that goes from the knuckle to the front, I opened a big hole to drop my Manual through the bottom. Don't forget the massive amount of dry sweep for the ATF that always seems to come out of nowhere.

Ask you the same thing I asked James..................

Did you Disconnect the torque conveter from the drive plate???? That will keep ypu from being able to lower the tranny down. You'll be able to go back but not down

we took the suspension bar off and pulled it, the TC wouldnt move so we couldnt take all the bolts off... and after we took the tranny off i broke every single tc bolt in half, so that will never be used again, but oh well.

you must remove the radius rod to take out the auto tranny... 5 speed you dont need to do that

ok, a couple months later....
by remove do you mean detach the bolts at the lower arm end (i'm guessing that's the radius rod) or do you mean remove it so its sitting next to me?

thanks
