so i've been looking at cb7tuner.com, and i've found out that i can directly swap in a F22B...160hp, and its a scaled down version of the H22...anyone know anything about it? I'm seriously thinking about it...i would ask the cb7 guys, but they aren't as helpful as the 3geez crew...

here is one place for the F22B (http://www.naganojapanese.com/f22b.php)

and here's another... no ecu though (http://www.japanstarmotor.com/f22b.html)

You want to put that in a 4g? Don't bother, just get the H22.

well, i thought of that, but the price is whats getting me...and from what i understand, its just a scaled down version of the h22, right? $795 for the JDM F22B, or $2000 for the H22........i dont think so.

Koney, thats not the F22B. ITs something else. JDM engines have no number at the end of the engine code, American ones do. The F22B is a JDM DOHC Prelude engine.
You can see one that my good friend has right here.

So fackin what if it does not have Vtec. Its still better than any SOHC F22. THink of it as the "LS" version of the H22.

Hehe. I figured you'd get fired up over that. Remember our conversation in the chat room last week?

h22 is easier to find and a direct bolt in too with a few differnt mounts/ecu/wiring harness.... i think the axles are a mighty bit tougher too.

It the F22 out of the 92-96 lude Si, 160hp, 148tq, and it is DOHC.

Oh, it's an F22B2, not JDM, but I know what he's talkin about, I wasn't bein serious, but I say you get the F22B, ditch the H22, it's been whored out.

thats what i'm sayin....everyone is getting one or already does. the f22b is cool cause it has almost the same potential as the h22. im thinking drop that in for a grand...then start thinking boost. i dunno...any suggestions would be great

if you do that and go with a built F22 or H22 beware that if youre gonna do pistons, its gonna have to be sleeved as well, or your ring seal with suck

im sure the H22 head flows much better than a F22 head (V-tec head compared here). So yeah, H22 is ur better Choice if u badly insist on a swap.

why go with a 160hp engine when a 210hp engine will take the same time/money/effort to install? We should go back to subjects like ? SHould i put a D16 in my accord?
