View Full Version : will someone please inform me of what this is.

the car started over heating yesterday. So natually, I pulled out the T-stat and everything is fine. However, the piece in the pic below is leaking coolant. If someone woudl tell me what it is and how much it is to replace I would greatly appreciate it.

what car do you have? 86-88 or 88-89? that looks like 88-89 and mine i dont think has that

I think it's one of your heater hoses.

yeah, if i had to guess it would be one of those heater hoses on top there. squeeze a few of those and see if any are spongy in any area. if they are that usually means thin walls and small leaks that always get bigger. just a guess though.
