I bought some wheels of 87Hybrid and powdercoated them white at work. happy to say it costed me nothing cause i did all the prep myself. Center caps aren't on yet cause i haven't been able to find long enough studs yet.

Here she is, needs lowering now more than ever, but i think it looks pretty damn good with the white on blue. let me know what you think.

aluminum rims cost a lot more if there's already a powder finish on them, but if they're just bare metal or wet paint, the prep is pretty easy. mine had some powder underneath so i spent a couple hours blasting. i got a clear coat put on them too so it would have been about a $350cdn job.

if they don't need much blasting or prep work, i think its usually about $25 per rim

hey, how come your sun roof pops out? :D

thats cause it aint OEM. Looks like the one my dad got for his pickup truck. Course he made a big ass hole on the roof of the car to get it in but hey it's for the better of the car. :D

They look pretty but you really need to put the center caps in though. White rims can pretty much look good on an color car from what I've seen.

the front tires are actually a bit too small, but i got them with the rims from David (87Hybrid) they're beautiful toyo proxes t1's so i can't let them go to waste. the back rubbers are toyo proxes fz4's and they're the right size.

yeah they look much nicer with the caps, but the screws i have are too short... i'm going to try and find some that will fit tomorrow.

about the sunroof, i always thought it was stock, or at least its a really nice aftermarket job... it doesn't leak at all. maybe it was offered on canadian 3g's? i think the car looks cooler with it popped up too!

here's a pic of the rims before i redid them, props to David for doing the polished lip, it actually looked really good, but i had my heart set on all white.

Those would have been a lot cooler looking if you did all black with a chrome lip. I plan on getting one of my 17's fixed and painting them the exact color of my milano red 94 prelude si. Maybe I will polish the lip too. And paint the calipers silver.

thanks guys, yeah i've been actively looking for springs and struts, its not as easy to get them for cheap in canada as the states.

I got my springs for $249 CDN just last week, and struts arent too bad here, maybe you just need to find a good shop in your area.
