speed issue, rpm drop

ok heres the issue
i have a new 89 sei( 87 lxi tranny broke) auto
when i floor it, rpm go up to 5000 and comtinue to rise like normal
but when i get to about 95-100mph my rpms drop from 6000+
to 4000-4250 and stay there i only get to about 102 and thats it

ever herd of thi,s know a fix?

i think i heard something about letting your foot of the gas, then punch it while switching into D3 at the same time and you get a boost then put it back in D4 when rpms get high. im not sure if thats the correct answer though someone else will post soon.

OR thats the gov kicking in, i dunno my alignment is bad, i have an auto also, everytime i go over 60 the car shakes, so i havent taken mine up that high yet.

my lxi can 120+(correction used to do)
well the only thing is that the car is canadian (main spedo is kph instead of mph and some french)

well your lxi was a 87 also.
i say do a major tune-up.

plus, have you ever try to rev it to 8,000 in park?, for some reason some accord's come with rev and speed limiter's.
but 102mph seem's to low.

it revs to 6500 in park. where would the limiter be. if it is a ecu thing couldn't
i just swich ecu?

major tune is an on going thing ill see if that helps.
