Electric or manual

Hey guys i'm going to buy a weber carb and i was wondering if i need an electric choke or a manual choke. And whats the difference between the two.

An electric choke uses 12 volt current to heat up a thermo-spring which opens the choke plate during start-up. A manual choke uses a cable that is routed into the car. The driver operates the choke by using the cable. You would probably be best off with an electric choke since the 3G originally comes with electric choke. So all the hook ups would be there for it.

P.S.: I just looked at the vehicle that you list in your user info, and it is an LXi, I hope you aren't getting a carb for that (fuel injected). :D

I'd go with the electric choke. They're really easy to hook up. I could probably even do it. :)

Funny story, for the first two months I owned my Accord I thought the tilt wheel lever was the choke.

Mine is ultra-manual now. To set the choke I have to pop the hood and close it with my hand. lol
