Hey guys
Let me know what you think, My tps is out, so I bought a used throttle body, intake and intake plate and I'm going to install at least the throttle body for the good tps. But, will there be big gains if I clean up the edges with a dremel and polish everything b4 installing them? I think that some performance gains will be had, but is it worth my time??
Let me know what you think.

inside the manifold? I had a TB and I polished the lip and made it smooth... but I never installed it.

other then that I was thinking of doing some work on my EFI manifold, I'll take pics of it when I'm done.

The 86-87 manifold is harder to do than the 88-89's because of the design. The 88-89's are a 2 piece setup that can be opened up tp get to the entire inside. The only way to get into the older intakes are to have someone cut it open then weld it back together. I dont know how much gain you'd get due to the fact you'll bottle neck in the middle where you dont get to. Talk to "The Magi" He's doing intakes and having them cut open and rewelded.

The one I got is off a 89 and its the two piece. So that one will be easier to work with. I'm just wondering if I should polish it and swap it on my motor?

Also,......the later year intake will still bolt to my head, right?
It would be an 86 2.0 head, with an 89 2.0 intake. I think that the fuel rail is all the same, and likewise with bolt patterns.

umm i heard that 86 head's did'nt have that lip thingy for the injector's like the 87,88-89 did, but then again you dod have efi.
so it should be any problem.
