Guage Scan - KM/h

I'm working on some guage scans. I have almost finished the speedometer guage. Tell me what you think.

I will probably be adding some color soon. I just dont know what to use...

Any suggestions on color?

That's pretty cool dude, im actually looking forward to some KM/h scans.

Personally I wouldnt bother with doing too much too the colour, just make sure you can clearly see the numbers....

Other than that, i'd say use a differnt font for the ACCORD bit, forget which one....and the H make it a little more pointier...but otherwise i love it.

I actually grabed the Honda type font and used that for the accord and the "H". I also tried it with a small "H" like so

Sorry bro I dont have a MPH one :(
I made the KM/h one because there are almost none around.

Fuel and Tach are coming. I dont have much time to work on them but I'm slowly doing it.

Ok I tried a new font for the accord. I know its not the right one but I think it looks pretty coo.

Here is the Speedometer, Tach, and Fuel. Note the Tach and Fuel are in their first stage, not sure if I'm going to keep them this way. I'm still really not sure about the colors either. So I need some feedback guys. Good or bad.

I prefer the 2nd speedo gauge, since the H isn't in your face as with the others.

The tacho is good, just i'd scrub the text. Good job,

My opinion, too. Looks good, but the speedo with that big H is too busy. Tach would look cleaner with just the numbers.

Yes I agree I'm going with the small "H" rather than the big one.
As for the Tach I think I'm going to keep the writing but I'm just going to make it smaller.

I will post my final pics when i'm done. I will probably post the Photoshop files also if peps want to.

MiGeY, you can help me if you send to me good quality scans of stock gauges. I finished paint work, but now i need to correct it, because right now it's not "compatible" (don't sure how i must say it in english) with stock measurements...

The circles are there for guidelines at the moment and are easily removed in photohop, you just have to hide the layer(for those who want the photoshop file).

Its 4 AM in the morning and I came by this post, I just figured to try it, so I printed your Guages, and DAYUM, talk about nice, I want Pauls guages soo bad! That was the funniest thing for my girlfriend to wake up to, her boyfriend out in the car riping the dash pod out at 3:30 AM, I just put the Tach print out on and it looks tight, even with the dirty finger prints, time to print another copy!!! YAY

MiGeY, These guage faces are tight, Not bad for a paper print out, I'm gonna roll with these until I either get Pauls Guage Faces or a set of AC Autotechnic Guage Faces. Goodwork and Thx.

Comcast went down I guess so all my pictures wont show up until they fix whatever problem, I also cannot read my email, but MiGeY, They are nice, but could you help me out, first of all the FT Guage seems a little off, how do I print them to the right size?
Cus when I printed them off of here, they were HUGE, I had to bring the size down 50% x 50%, And that I guess was a little too small, but all in all, I think it looks good. What all are you doing about lighting or what? Cus Since the letters are different and in diff spots, I took the backlit lights out and just put the other lights back in for the face of the guages.

BTW I printed that out on a shity printer, I cannot wait till I can get my Photo Printer's its photo and color cartridges, I have the wickedest photo paper.

Well just to let you know the sizes of each guage is as follows:

Speedometer: 10 cm
Tach: 9 cm
Fuel: 9 cm

To get the right size for the guages I noticed that you had to print them out from Photoshop. I'm not sure why, I did have the same problem as you do. Eather adjust them to the size above or print them out on photoshop(you need the psd files though).

As for lighting, I have not figured that out yet. I dont know what I'm going to do. I might just get a black light or something.

BTW the cirles around the guages are for testing atm, if you actually print them out to put on I would suggest removing the circle(it is a seperate layer in the PSD files, just hide the layer)

MiGeY, you don't need to send me the psd files, I got it PERFECT, my guage faces are tight!!! I redone them a few times, I still need to redo my FT guage I belive cus I used some glue to hold it on, and where that glue is the paper is like warped there now, but its not noticible, cept to me cus I did it!

Hehe I'm glad it turned out well. I finally picked up some full page label sheets. On monday I'm going to print them out on the color laser and apply them. I also did a carbon fiber mod to my bezel around the guages. I will post some pics on monday hopefully(hopeing to get a digi cam this weekend).

I'm also going to print out a few extras just in case I screw up. But if I dont screw up would anyone be interested in buying the extra ones I print out? I'm thinking just $5-10 to cover the paper, envelop(for shipping), shipping, and the effort I put into making these gauges. :D

I'm buying a big roll of carbon fiber fabric and I'm gonna fabricate a new carbon fiber dash molded to the old one, and I'm gonna make the Bezel Carbon fiber and all the black trim is gonna be red, I'll show you guys soon cus I'm gettin some paint soon, and the carbon fiber fabric is gonna be cool to play with. I'll show you the guages that I printed out onto my car that was printed on a black and white printer. I can't wait to get my photo paper and printer cartidges so I can redo them.

I just need to finish my guages, I'm gonna make multiple copies of your guages, about 5 copies with them Inverted on School CardBoard paper, I'm gonna cut the letters and shit out on all of them, then I'm gonna get some colored sticky tape and then Print the guages with a lazer printer and a clear film, so I'll have your guages actualy glowing where they are supposed to.

I'm going to cover the back of the guages and only having front light. I'm probably going to get a neon or something.

ive just done mine,

im happy, but im not....my temperature gauge is a little demented, and positioned wrong, its giving me a reading of Max
when the car is normally half way.

And the paper i used had a matte finish, photo paper and it doesnt look good during the day. I thought i got glossy but i grabbed the wrong one.

Tomorrow im getting new paper and reprinting.

good job migey, the fuel and tach were a perfect fit but the speedo, i had to readjust to about 9.7cm to get it to align right.

anyways as for lighting, IT LOOKS FUCKING COOL AT NIGHT! i have a blue cold c athode tube, behind that clear blue plastic diffuser to help dampen the light and it looks kinda like the faces glow!!!
