i see you went legal way with that red reflector. you can use white reflector or any other color reflector. as long as taillights have somekind reflector they are legal. oh yeah, make sure the bulbs are color match. i mean you need red bulbs or some clear LED that will light up red or they won't be legal on the road.
i know it is alot of laws, but it is better to follow them. it may cost you alot now, but later on, you won't have to pay huge tickets for illigal taillights.

Yeah you are right. I made sure I got all of my lights together before I put them on my car. I have all LED's even the little 194 bulbs are Led I'll post more pics once I put them on the car.

wow those look nice! i wonder if its harder to do clear tails on a sedan or coupe because theyre two peices rather than one (hatchback).

bullard123
08-15-2004, 07:10 PM
I think they are probably easier. The sedan/coupe lights have less of a curve. So i don't think there is much heating and bending involved.

thats pretty sweet looking. Exactly how did you go about doing it?
I kept studying the hatch tails, but never got them off of my car to really look at them but it looked like the inside would just come out and wala clear tails. Probably doesnt work that way at all.

Yeah I could make you a set. As long as the junkyard has a coupe I can get the taillights off of.

For the hatch you have to heat the taillight cover up, get a screwdriver and slowly pry the cover off of the taillight. Once you do that just take the reflectors out and clear them.

i hate eurolights, too flashy and gay.... IMO but those lights look tight, its just like a simple clear corner kit for the front, you should sell them....to me....if my car wasnt such a POS. A small mod thatll make the ass end of your car look kick ass.

I think he's talking about Altezzas.

Oyvind Ryeng
08-19-2004, 03:35 AM
Well, AltezzazzzZZZ have nothing to do with Europe, that's for sure. We hate the Altezza-wearing, ricer poser motherfuckers at least as much as you Americans do.

We (most) prefer red/white factory OEM-look tails, and a few like the tinted ones. But NOBODY likes the Altezzazzz, except for the better-to-have-them-all-killed-dead stupid ricers, whom I for one, don't consider to be human beeings.

Those look real good, nice job. I remember I saw someones clear tails up here (I think it was a grey 4DR) and they looked horrible so I never thought about doing it again. These look real good though. Tempting me to do it to my coupe.

you may want to double check your laws because I have been pulled over on 5 occasions (5 tickets none of which held up in court) for tail lights. the BULB itself has to be clear, and the light EMITTED or the reflector being used must be red or amber. I gaurantee if you are in California, they will get you for having "tinted" bulbs.

Brentm

eurolights are ricy, clear lights with random red parts and crap, IMO I think they are the worst thing u can put onto a car or truck (and where i live, like every truck has them and every car with a fartcan has them too) they make me hella angry.

Brent. You're just jealous they wouldn't look good on your blue hatch. I usually don't like the euro lights, but those would look good on a white hatch.

Yes the bulbs are clear. I made sure I ordered all ot the right bulbs before I put them on my car. In fact they are still not on my car yet because I'm still waiting on some amber 1156 bulbs. As long as the taillights display the proper color when you brake, turn, and when lit at night they are legal. In fact have you seen the new Lexus SUV's?/ They come with all clears from the factory.

Hey Bullard123 I knew you where on this site somewhere...I've seen your car a lot of times. I'm the Pizza Hut delivery guy with the white 3G with the carbon fiber hood and the clear blinkers. Those taillights do look pretty tight it made your hatch look even better and I like your clear bumper and custom corners...like underdog said I was gonna clear out the top half of my taillights but it seems a bit difficult for me...I've seen your car at A-1 a couple of times but I've never asked you about your car...it's nice to see another 3G in Colorado Springs

Cool man. I have seen your car around here a few times also. You have the white 3g with the panda look too it. Cool, next time I see you around you should show me what kind of mods you have.

Yeah I know what you are talking about, I hear a clicking noise from mine on the driver's side. But I don't have the paitence on doing axle work. I'll just take it to Hondac Auto and se how much they will charge me to fix it. I'm behind on my maitenance schedule also. I was to have my car serviced 10,000 miles ago at 165,000 but other than that its doing fine though.

Yes they do excellent work. I have had my fifth gear replaced there, transmission flushed and filled, headlights rewired, emissions test, thermostat replaced, check engine light fixed, and so on. Its a honda service center so they use genuine Honda parts. There is another place called Japanse Auto located on Delta and Hancock you can check them out also. I've had a few things done there like my H4's and my fuel door.
