funny noise from the rear

I just noticed it today, but when i brake hard, i get this noise coming from the rear driver side. It sounds like when you open a creaky door very slowly so that you can hear each of the clicks. I'm guessing the shoes need to be changed but not sure. figured i'd ask before i spent the money.

never hurt's to check.
but when i had my 86lx, it did like what your describing, i adjusted my rear brake's and it stopped.
but it's best to check, the rear's alway's had to be adjusted.
