Here is a little background information. Replaced the whole drivers side axle assembly due to a broken CV joint. After replacing the transmission was slipping due to a leak. I replaced the output shaft seal and reinstalled the axle. Drove it down the road and it blew the tranny fluid out again.

I am thinking there is possibly a broken seal inside the tranny or that when then CV joint snap, the axle was "wobbley" so it may have "wallowed" out the hole where the axle shaft goes into the tranny, or there is a crack somewhere in the transmission.

Anyone have any thoughts ideas or suggestions?

If the tranny has to be replaced it will cost over $600. If this is the case I have found a LXi I can get for a couple hundred bucks. Runs great just needs body work, but its an auto tranny also. :deal:

Did the axle have a smooth surface on the end of the shaft for the transmission seal to run against? If not it may leak
