More proof that 3G owners rule. I was heading back to work on my lunch break when I spot a guy in a black 3g coupe flashing his lights like a madman, sure enough there was a cop sitting right around the bend with a radar gun.

Saved $175 dollars.

Nice drivers flash their lights at oncoming traffic to warn of something ahead; to slow down. In this case, it was a nice 3g driver!

nice Andrew, glad you saved yourself some dough. I'm glad that it was a 3G.... I'm over here on the Island (Victoria BC) and the cops just got these brandnew bimmer bikes and they've been hiding on the slopes of the hwy offramps and radaring.... my ass was saved by some dude in an old ford P/U.
Stupid cops; those damn bikes are fast! (drool!)
Keep Flashing!
(Julie, this means you!(wink))

Cool guy. Only bad thing about flashing ur lights is if u get caught doing that, u end up getting the fine.

how does that work, is it illegal to flash lights?

It would be hard to prove that the lights were flashed on purpose since you could always say that you hit the lever on accident :D I also try to warn drivers behind me if there is something like a shredded tire ahead by flashing the emergency blinkers (they can't see the obstacle until the last second) If more people practiced some common courtesy on the road, it would be a much safer driving experience.

P.S.: Using turn signals is also common courtesy. I think only about 10% of drivers actually realize what those are for.

In Texas, where I am right now, they don't exist.

actually, not sure if its everywehre, but around here if a cop sees you change lanes or turn without a blinker, they can give you a ticket for reckless op
