View Full Version : What's the trick to remove old bolts?

trying to reomve AT tranny(86),most bolts feel too tight to reomve,try a 3 feet breaker bar on a AT mount bolt, no move, need help!

marvel mystery oil is the best. just spray it on and let it sit for 5-10 minutes and WHAM. they're loose.

*edit* make sure you're going in the right direction. Righty tighty, lefty loosey.

i use PB blaster, that stuff eats rust for lunch and dinner.

yea it does, its my best friend.
All I gotta say is let it soak and keep tugging. If its still too tight try slipping a 5 foot pole over the end of the breaker bar. And if that don't work get a propane torch, they are pretty inexpensive and well worth it.

i would skip all the bull and go straight to the torch.if propane doesnt work for you get map gas, i burns hotter.(comes in yellow cyl.)
